Unfortunately blog updates tend to get pushed down the priority ladder pretty quickly these days. So apologies to those that read for such a long dry spell.
The weather has allowed for biking to take place on a more frequent basis. Mark Cohn, Second Act Owner/CEO will be riding 100 miles (around Lake Tahoe) in two weeks for Team In Training (
http://www.teamintraining.org ). Team In Training's mission is to: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. It's a great cause and if you want you can even help sponsor Mark on his incredibly long 100 mile bicycle ride! Donate here (

Next up, we've got some internal staffing changes that are keeping us all a little busier during the daytime, and might have a new hire announcement for a Chief Marketing Officer by July 1st.
Ron in the warehouse bought a scooter but hasn't driven it to work yet. I'm sure one of us will crash it driving around the parking lot once he does finally bring it in. As a side note that relates to crashing scooters: I was in a band a few years ago and we rode mopeds for a music video (that never wound up getting finished). We snuck into a tennis court and we're riding them around. I thought it would be cool to try to make a skid mark so I floored it and slammed on the breaks... CRASH. Suffice it to say, I learned my lesson.
For any potential walk-in customers, you may be greeted at the door by my new dog - Greta! She's a Bernese Mountain Dog, and she's a little scared of older men (specifically with Grey Hair - we think she may have been abused by someone fitting this description...which is very sad), but she's awesome and loves almost everyone.
The Vikings signed Jared Allen, and that means that we're going to be really awesome (on defense) next year. Todd in Customer Service was put in the unfortunate position of being a die-hard Chiefs fan in an office full of Vikings fans (and one Packer fan, who we're all assuming cries a little bit each night knowing that Favre is no longer their QB). After the draft Todd felt a little better, but he's still got to brace himself for the dreaded "rebuilding year".
Hope everyone is enjoying Spring/Summer. I'll try to keep on top of the blog and continue posting twitter (www.twitter.com/secondact) updates on a more frequent basis.
